So, Saturday night, I asked someone if it was worth the 8.75 to go see this fourth installment of the Indiana Jones series.  They gave it a ringing endorsement, so I decided to go ahead and get it done...

...and I was not disappointed.

The movie is truly the thrill ride that many have come to expect from the series.  Action was crisp, the scenes meshed well and logically.  Even though the story bordered on the fantastical, it was still enough to keep me on the edge of my seat.

My recommendation:  Go see it.  It will be worth every penny you spend on it.

I also saw "Crystal Skull" over the weekend. Although quite a long movie at around 2 hours, it didn't seem to drag at all. The pacing was good and all the usual Indiana Jones stunts were there. Enough humour to keep it light hearted, but with serious bits too.

To some extent, it was "more of the same" but it's been so long since the last Indiana Jones movie that you can forgive it.

I took my kids along (aged 10 and 8) and they both loved it. A bit frightening in places, but not too much. Plenty of action and mystery. I'd have to recommend it, especially if you liked the others.

Where Indiana Jones is concerned, I don't think "more of the same" is even a bad thing.  The action, as said, is just what you'd expect from an Indiana Jones movie and I think it would have been disappointing if it had been otherwise.

In addition to the stuff already said, I thought the homages paid to the past movies were a nice touch.  I'm definitely glad I went.
